Muldersdrift police are looking for any information that could help them with a case of armed robbery and rape.
A 30-year-old woman was allegedly walking to the clinic on 10 October, when she was approached by an unknown man. The man suggested that the two of them walk to the clinic together.
While on their way, the man pulled out a knife and dragged the woman into nearby bushes. He demanded money, but the woman did not have enough, and the man threatened to kill her.
The woman collapsed and when she later regained consciousness she discovered that her cellphone and money had been taken and that her underwear was pulled down.
“Muldersdrift Police Station commander, Lieutenant Mankontsho Setlhare, urges the community members to be safe at all times and not trust anyone they meet on the street when walking alone,” said Constable Slindile Ntuli, the Muldersdrift Police spokesperson.
Anyone with information that could lead to the arrest of the suspect can forward it to the Muldersdrift Police on 011 952 4600 or Crime Stop on 086 001 0111.
