Eagle-eyed police ensure recovery of stolen mine property

Police searched a suspicous vehicle and found stolen property.

Vigilant police recovered stolen mine property on Tuesday, 9 October.

Members of the Krugersdorp Police arrested five suspects for possession of stolen property in two separate incidents.

Police allegedly noticed a suspicious vehicle coming from a local mine and when they searched the vehicle they discovered large plastic pipes, which are used by mines. When questioned the suspects failed to provide an explanation as to how these goods came to be in their possession.

Some of the stolen pipes recovered by the Krugersdorp Police.

Two more suspects were also found with similar pipes elsewhere in Krugersdorp.

A preliminary investigation found that in both these cases the pipes had been stolen from the local mine.
