Save the world and win a Mustang

The Owl Rescue Centre is known for its incredible contribution to conservation.

Through projects such as the recycled-plastic owl houses, bat houses and bee hives, the organisation removes thousands of tons of plastic from the environment – plastic that threatens to end up in the oceans and kill sea animals. These projects are very successful; however, it’s inevitable that some plastic does find its way to the ocean.

This is why the rescue centre has come up with an idea to remove plastic from the ocean itself as well – it’s decided to save up and buy a ship to use to clean up the ocean. The organisation needs your help to achieve its goal, though – and is offering the chance of a massive reward if you chip in.

Owl Rescue has launched a competition by which members of the public can buy a ticket for a lucky draw to stand a chance to win an Ocean Blue Ford Mustang. The Mustang was sponsored by Action Ford in Roodepoort and all the proceeds from the ticket sales will go towards buying the ship.

Of the 6 000 tickets that were available, nearly half of them have been sold. Entries close as soon as all the tickets are sold.

All you have to do is join Owl Rescue Centre’s plastic ocean clean-up and recycling drive by purchasing a PROWLER (Plastic Recycling Owl Environmental Rescue) Nautical Mile ticket at R200 each to help her set sail. You can buy as many ‘miles’ as you want.

To buy a ticket, use the following banking details:

Account name: Owl Rescue Centre NPC
Bank: Nedbank
Current Account: 103 081 9580
Branch Code: 198 765.
Reference: Initial, surname and contact number.
Please ensure that you use the correct reference for your entry.
