No matter how big or how small the service, at St Ursula’s Catholic School they always aim to express their thanks to those who serve them.

On Tuesday, 8 May, they did just this when they held a scrumptious Taxi Tea in the school’s pavilion in an effort to thank their drivers for always transporting their learners with the utmost care.

This event forms part of their annual Catholic School Week which is celebrated with various activities including a clothing drive, collecting plastic bottles for owl houses, a Bible quiz and Masses, among others.

More than 15 drivers and security guards were commended for their hard work and dedication, which they show on a daily basis.

“It is only an honour to acknowledge everybody that contributes to the success of our school. We want to thank each and every one of you for transporting our children so safely,” St Ursula’s Cathy Harrison said to the drivers.

Despite various challenges such as unexpected traffic and road blockages, they always strive to get every learner to school on time, said Forsyth Sibeko, one of the drivers.

St Ursula’s would like to thank their staff for always putting in the maximum effort and for always going the extra mile.
