With green grass, blue skies and bright colours all around, the Real Life Church’s sixth annual Egg Dash was nothing short of spectacular, with visitors being welcomed into a real-life cartoon scenario.

On this day, approximately 800 children were welcomed by the Easter Bunny, and then entertained by various well-known cartoon characters such as Donald Duck, Mickey and Minnie Mouse, Mufasa, a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle, Wile E. Coyote and Winnie the Pooh.

Pastors Zelda and Noel Wood said they encouraged the children to dress up as their favourite cartoon character to add to the fun.

During this vivid cartoon scene all kinds of characters including Batman, Hulk and Spongebob as well as cats, bunnies, bumble bees, princes and princesses were seen laughing, dashing around and dancing to the beat of the music.

This year about 24 000 eggs were gathered for the event.

After quite a few dance, dress-up and hand-stand competitions, a great many participants walked away with some fun prizes and hampers.
