A total of 26 Impala Gymnastic Club gymnasts bent, flipped, twisted and balanced on narrow beams when they represented Central Gauteng at the recent Central Zone Competition.

This regional and provincial competition was held in Kempton Park where a number of Level 1 to 3 gymnasts from this club competed against other gymnasts from Eastern Gauteng, Free State and KwaZulu-Natal.

During this event an astonishing total of 13 of Impala’s gymnasts accumulated gold medals, and the other 13 were awarded silver medals.

This gymnastic club is now looking forward to another successful season as their participation level gymnasts face new challenges – they will be moving up one level for the 2017/ 2018 season.

The Level 4 to 7 gymnasts are busy preparing for the competition phase which will be starting very soon and end in October with the National Championships.
