What’s new at the movies this week?

Spider-Man swings back into cinemas for the winter holidays, along with an inspirational new Afrikaans drama – the two new films at Nu Metro Key West Shopping Centre this week:

Spider-Man: Homecoming (10-12PG- LV)

After his stint with The Avengers from Captain America: Civil War, Spider-Man is back on the Big Screen in 3D with a spectacular action-filled adventure from Marvel Studios – balanced with quite a few moments of brilliant comedy. A young Peter Parker (Tom Holland) begins to navigate his new-found identity as the web-slinging superhero, Spider-Man. After his experience with The Avengers, Peter returns home, where he lives with his Aunt May, under the watchful eye of his new mentor, Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr). Peter tries to fall back into his normal daily routine, but is distracted by thoughts of proving himself to be more than just your friendly neighbourhood Spider-Man. When the Vulture (Michael Keaton) emerges as a new villain, Peter will have to defend everything he holds dear.
