Armed robbery at jewellery store in Key West

Krugersdorp Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding a business robbery that occurred at Key West Shopping Centre at about 1.30pm on Sunday, 18 June.

A man said he was in a jewellery shop with his co-workers when three unknown males and a female entered the store. They allegedly pointed firearms at the workers.

The suspects forced the man to open a safe and took the jewellery stored there. They then fled on foot. When they approached the taxi parking area at the mall, they allegedly fired shots and jumped into a white Opel Corsa.

No injuries were reported and police are continuing with their investigation. Anyone with information that could assist the police in arresting the perpetrators is requested to call either the Krugersdorp Police on 011 951 1151 or Crime Stop on 08600 10111.
