Young men arrested for house robbery

Police arrested two young men, both aged 19, in connection with a housebreaking and theft of various items on Tuesday, 9 May at about 11am.

A woman reported that she had locked her house on Friday, 5 May at about 8am and gone out. She returned later that same day and found that someone had broken into her house. Her door was broken and she noticed that her clothes were scattered all over her house. Upon investigating, she discovered that her laptop and watch had been stolen.

The Kagiso Police launched an investigation into the matter after the woman reported the crime, and managed to trace and apprehend the two suspects.

They were later detained at Kagiso Police Station where a case of house-breaking and theft was registered. The suspects made a brief appearance on Thursday, 11 May in court and were remanded in custody until their bail application can be heard.
