Dan Patlansky is embarking on a nationwide solo acoustic tour for his South African fans before returning to Europe in April.

He ended 2016 on a high note, with his latest album, Introvertigo, being voted as the number one 2016 Blues Rock Album in the world, by Blues Rock Review/USA, alongside names such as Joe Bonamassa, Chase Walker Band, Supersonic Blues Machine, Devon Allman, and many more.

Dan is the first artist ever to place number one on Blues Rock Review’s Top 20 Albums Of The Year twice (for Dear Silence Thieves in 2014, and Introvertigo in 2016).

He adds this achievement to his long list of accolades: he was also voted Male Artist of the Year 2015 by Blues & Soul Magazine, placed number four in the 10 Best Rock Guitarists In The World by Total Guitar Magazine in December 2015, and one of the Top 20 Blues Rock Artists by Blues Magazine.

In February 2016, he received a nomination for Best International Solo Artist for the Planet Rock Radio ‘Rocks’ Awards. He was also nominated and rated number two in the category of Top 5 ‘Overseas Artist Of The Year’ by the British Blues Awards in September 2016.

Fans can look forward to hearing songs from Dan’s critically acclaimed acoustic album, Wooden Thoughts which was released in 2013, as well as a few acoustic renditions of songs from Introvertigo.

“I look forward to playing for my South African fans across the country and performing an honest, stripped down version of what I normally do.”

Dan will be performing at Die Ou Pastorie in Magaliesburg on 18 March. Tickets cost R150 and the show starts at 1.30pm. Bookings can be made at [email protected] or by calling 012 207 1027.
