JUST IN – Two die in motorcycle crash

Two people died when a motorcycle collided with a truck at the intersection of Munsie Avenue and Commissioner Street, near the Krugersdorp Prison on Saturday, 4 February.

The driver and passenger on the motorcycle were declared dead on scene by paramedics.

Community Policing Forum (CPF) members of Sector 5 were on scene to assist emergency services personnel with keeping onlookers off the scene and to regulate traffic.

ER24, QRS and West Rand Fire Department personnel were on scene.

Members of the Krugersdorp Police were also on scene in an attempt to determine the cause of the collision.

Cecilia Janse van Vuuren, spokesperson for CPF Sector 5 expressed her condolences to the families of the deceased.

Details of the crash are still under investigation.
