Alleged dagga dealer arrested

Muldersdrift police with the confiscated dagga they found on a plot in Muldersdrift.

The Muldersdrift Police got more than they bargained for when they followed up on information about dagga being grown on a nearby plot.

Police spokesperson, Warrant Officer, Hitler Ngwenya said on arrival at the plot in Steynsvlei on 27 February at around 6pm, a substantial amount of dagga plants were discovered.

A 23-year-old man was arrested on the property for the possession of the plants.

The alleged dealer is expected to appear in the Krugersdorp Magistrates’ Court soon.

“It is believed the dagga is manufactured and sold to the public by the suspect. Station Commander, Lieutenant Colonel Seabi applauded the members for this major arrest and further indicated that the Muldersdrift area will eventually be free of drugs related offences,” Ngwenya said.
