The Krugersdorp Police are investigating a case of murder after a 27-year-old female’s body was discovered on the side of the road in Chancliff on 7 January at around 4am.
“It is alleged the deceased was last seen with unknown people in a vehicle hours before her body was discovered on the R28 in Krugersdorp,” Krugersdorp Police spokesperson, Sergeant Tshepiso Mashale said.
There is reason to believe the victim was thrown from of a moving vehicle which resulted in her sustaining serious injuries to her body.
The victim, who is allegedly originally from Standerton, was found on Michael Road and was later positively identified by a family member.
“The police are investigating a case of murder and we are appealing to the community to help us with information that can lead to the arrest of those involved in this horrific act. Call Krugersdorp police immediately with any information. It will be handled with the necessary sensitivity,” Mashale concluded.
