West Rand Careers Expo in March – a must for pupils

The Rotary Club of Krugersdorp in conjuction with The West Rand Chamber of Business and Tourism is hosting the 25th Annual West Rand Careers Exhibition at the Greenhills Hall at the corner of Homestead and Northway Avenues in Greenhills, Randfontein.

It is now for the 25th consecutive year that The Rotary Club of Krugersdorp is hosting the West Rand Careers Exhibition.

The exhibition will take place from Tuesday 11 March to Thursday 13 March. It’s becoming increasingly important to make the right choice regarding your career for the future. It is therefore of the utmost importance that all the pupils in Grade 10, 11 and 12 visit the exhibition.

The aim of the exhibition is to provide pupils, together with their educators and parents with as much career information as possible on a wide variety of careers. This exhibition will provide the opportunity to discuss, with representatives of training institutions, such as universities, technikons and technical colleges, the various study opportunities and entry requirements.

Students also will have the opportunity to meet people representing different careers such as civil and chemical engineers. Most pupils in Grade 10 to 12 who attend schools in Roodepoort, Krugersdorp, Randfontein, Westonaria and Carletonville will attend the exhibition during school hours in groups.

This project has the full support of the Gauteng Department of Education.

A special opening session is planned for parents who wish to accompany their children.
