NOTICE OF THE BASIC ASSESSMENT AND WATER USE LICENSE APPLICATION PROCESSES FOR THE PROPOSED LANSERIA OUTFALL SEWER PIPELINE IN JOHANNESBURG, GAUTENG PROVINCE Johannesburg Water (SOC) Ltd has appointed Nemai Consulting as the Independent Environmental Assessment Practitioner (EAP) to conduct the Environmental Authorisation (EA) for the proposed Lanseria outfall sewer pipeline in Johannesburg, situated in the Gauteng Province. The Lanseria Outfall Sewer Project entails the design and construction of a new outfall sewer that will convey sewage from the existing Zandspruit Sewer Pump station to the future Lanseria WwTW. Notice is hereby given of the Basic Assessment (BA) Process, in terms of the 2014 EIA Regulations published in Government Notice (GN) No. R983 and R985 of the National Environmental Management Act, 1998 (Act No. 107 of 1998) (NEMA) on 04 December 2014, and the Water Use License Application (WULA) Process in terms of the National Water Act, 1998 (Act No. 36 of 1998) (NWA). This notice serves to notify all Interested and Affected Parties (IAPs) of the proposed development.
