DC of the Week: Arrested for stealing linens

A male suspect was arrested on Wednesday, 8 February at a local mall for shoplifting.

The suspect allegedly walked into Pep Stores in Key West Shopping Centre, took two packages of linen and walked out of the store without paying.

Fortunately, a police officer who was on duty, but wearing civvies, saw the suspect and arrested him. The linen was retrieved and the suspect was taken to the Krugersdorp Police Station.

The value of each of the packages was R159. It is alleged the suspect stole the linen to resell and buy food.
