Silverfields Primary School is making headway, both in sport and in leadership.

The school’s soccer teams are making their mark this year, having won several games thus far.

“Silverfields Primary School is very passionate about sport and this is reflected in our results. Since the beginning of the season our soccer results have been exemplary due to the dedication of the coaches and the players,” soccer coach and coordinator Roelf Botha said.

Silverfields has played games against Laerskool Roodebeeck, Joshua Naude Primary School, Discovery Primary School and Laerskool Culembeeck since 14 April, and won many of them.

The U/13 soccer team has impressed greatly by wining all of their matches this season.

In other news, the school’s new head boy and head girl were chosen by the prefects last month. Simphiwe Jantjies and Tshegofatso Ofemile are ready to take on the responsibility of a leadership role in the school.
