A manhunt was launched by the Tarlton police after two suspects pounced on a domestic worker in Reydal on Tuesday.

Constable Lucky Matome, a police spokesperson said the domestic worker was busy doing laundry when the suspects stormed into the house where they held an object against her head before tying her up and instructing her to keep quiet.

He said they demanded she hand over the keys of the house before taking her to another room.

“They ransacked the house and took a safe which contained documents, jewellery and an undisclosed amount of money before fleeing the scene,” said Matome.

A case of house robbery is under investigation.

Police are appealing to the public to come forth with any information regarding this incident by contacting Tarlton police on 011-952-0012/29.
